In my culture, food is never just food. It’s respect. It’s love. It’s protection. When guests come over, you cook big meals. You insist they eat more. Sharing food is how you show you care.

So for me, food wasn’t just fuel for the body.
It was comfort. Safety. Emotional support

And somewhere in that, I lost balance. I didn’t always know when to stop. I didn’t understand my hunger. I just knew I wanted control.

I’m Barb, originally from Georgia 🇬🇪. while studying Strategic Communications there, during that time I started taking nutrition classes, So instead of fighting myself, I decided to understand myself and learn more.

I started learning from professionals. Studying nutrition deeper. Not from trends. Not from restriction culture. From science and experience. Over time, I built stability within myself. I stopped labeling food as “good” or “bad.” I learned how to eat in a way that feels calm.

When I finally felt comfortable in my own body, I started helping others who were quietly struggling the same way.

My journey really began in NYC - a chaotic, beautiful city that is always pushing you to do what you love…
